Dougall resides in Waimate NZ, and has been a member of the band since 2009 when the band travelled to Libya. Dougall began his piping career at St Andrews College in Christchurch.  He moved to the South Canterbury town of Waimate in 1977 after training as a veterinarian.  He has been Pipe Major of the Waimate Pipe Band since 1987.  Dougall joined the Pipes and Drums of Christchurch City when it was formed in 2009.  He has been five tours and served as pipe sergeant for a time.
