Piper

Sally resides in Dunedin NZ, and has been a member of the band since 2011 when the band travelled to Crete.

​Sally is a solo piper, was a competitive Highland dancer and adjudicator, and currently a piper in a NZ competing band. Previously played with the City of Wellington grade 1 pipe band for 10 years. During this time was privileged to compete twice in grade 1 at the World Pipe Band Championships in Glasgow, Scotland; perform at the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo in 2002 with the Queen in attendance for her Jubilee year and in 2005, and piped in the Festival Interceltique de Lorient in Brittany France in 2000.

Sally was honoured to pipe for the Queen's Jubilee at Larnach Castle, Dunedin and played a tune called Diu Regnare, composed for the occasion by Stuart Liddell of Inveraray, Scotland. The worldwide event was held on 2nd June 2022 celebrating the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.
