Walter Crichton
Drummer
Walter resides in Ashburton, NZ and has been a member of the band since 2019 when the band travelled to Edinburgh.
Walter started drumming when he was 10years old with P&D of Horowhenua, then played for Manawatu Scottish PB No.2 for a year, by 15 played with Manawatu Scottish Pipe Band in Grade 1 and competed in the 2009 World Pipe Band Championship where the band came tenth overall.
When at G1, Walter practiced in the morning, after school, and again after dinner. Nowadays he plays for passion and enjoyment, taking in the social aspect of the Pipe Bands scene as well as being involved with the local underground music scene in Wellington.
Bands played with: Pipes & Drums of Horowhenua, Manawatu Scottish Pipe Band Grade 1, Foundation Youth Pipe Band of New Zealand, Manawatu Scottish Pipe Band No.2 (current). Positions held - Side drummer, Drum Sergeant, Drum Major.
